Yankees whoop Red Sox, clinch AL East

All smiles in The Bronx as the Yankees (95-67) have locked up the AL East Division Championship by beating the Boston Red Sox 14-2 at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night. Robinson Cano went 4-4 batting with 2 homers and 6 RBIs to lead the Bronx Bombers into the playoffs with an exclamation point. Cano's big night overshadowed starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda's quality outing, as Kuroda allowed 7 hits and only 2 runs in 7 full innings against the Red Sox.

GO YANKS!!!

Next game: American League Divisional Series 10/7/12 Yankees @ winner of Orioles/Rangers wild card game.
